Lou Tienck
On the night of May 16, 1893, a mob of about 100 men travelled from Seymour to Brownstown, Indiana, seizing an engine and two cabooses to get there, and went to the jail for Lou Tienck, who was being held there. According to the Chicago Eagle, the sheriff was at the jail prepared to resist, but the guard had no keys, and the mob broke in. The paper says Tienck was hanged at about 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, and that the mob dispersed quietly afterward. The account comes from a single newspaper report.
