Lonnie Patman, 77, died on March 3, 2026, at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln, a Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facility, where the department said he had been treated for a medical condition. The department had not determined the cause of death when the report was published. The department said a grand jury will investigate, as it does for every death in state custody.
