Lonnie Franklin
Lonnie Franklin, 67, worked for the city of Los Angeles as a mechanic, a garbage collector and a garage attendant at an LAPD station. He was found unresponsive in his single cell at San Quentin State Prison on the evening of Saturday, March 28, 2020, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The department said there were no signs of trauma and that the cause of death would be determined by an autopsy by the Marin County coroner's office. A later department list of people who died on California's death row gives the cause as natural causes, while the earlier statements said the cause was still pending.
