Died in jail or a lockup
Lloyd Gilmore
Lloyd Gilmore, 44, died in June 2026 after officers at the Sikeston Department of Public Safety in Sikeston, Missouri, took him into custody following an incident at the department headquarters on June 10. He was taken to a holding facility, where officers requested emergency medical services. He became unresponsive while EMS was treating him and was taken to a hospital, where he died. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating, and Scott County Coroner Cody Caudle has scheduled an autopsy; no cause or manner of death has been determined yet.
