Lisa M. Johnston
Lisa M. Johnston, 37, was held at the Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Pittsfield Township, Michigan. The Michigan Department of Corrections said she was stung by a bee in the prison yard on April 24, 2019, and was treated at a hospital for an allergic reaction before returning to the prison that Friday afternoon. Shortly after, she collapsed while helping push a friend, a diabetic in a wheelchair, toward a line for insulin distribution. Department spokesman Chris Gautz said the cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results and a Michigan State Police investigation.
