Lingg
Lingg died while held in jail, and an earlier account described the death as a suicide. At a meeting of anarchists, Oscar Neebe said that Lingg was the victim of jail guards and that a loaded cigar given to him by jail officials exploded and killed him, not a detonating cap. Neebe's account is his own claim about how Lingg died. The suicide description is the earlier account that Neebe disputed.
