Lindsey Portwood
Lindsey Portwood was one of three men found dead in a jail cage in Vernon after a group of armed men broke into the jail early on a Sunday morning. The sheriff refused the men the keys and was ordered to stay in his home. A coroner's jury found that the men died of shot wounds, and no one was identified as responsible. The men had been held in the custody of the Vernon jail when they were killed.
