Lewis Warren
Lewis Warren was about 17 years old and was held in a jail in Georgia; a newspaper report says he lived on a plantation near Colquitt. On the Sunday night after being taken into custody, a crowd of armed men overpowered the guard, broke into the jail and shot Lewis Warren to death. The guard was overpowered by the crowd, not described as handing over the keys.
