Levi Parrish
Levi Parrish, 40, of Scottsville, was held at the Allen County Detention Center in Kentucky. On January 17, 2024, he was attacked in the jail's commissary room, where people held there had been brought to appear in court by video, and surveillance footage shows another person striking him repeatedly in the face. He was taken to a hospital with facial injuries and died there on January 26, 2024. A grand jury indicted another person held at the jail on a murder charge in connection with his death, and that case is pending in Allen Circuit Court, where the defendant has pleaded not guilty.
