Died in jail or a lockup
Leroy McKinney Jr.
Leroy McKinney Jr., 42, had been held at the Dallas County jail in Iowa since June 7, 2018. Around 1 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, he was found unresponsive in his cell, and attempts to revive him failed. His body was taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny for an autopsy. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation said officials did not suspect foul play, and the cause and manner of death were still pending in the reporting.
