Leonard Patrick Gonzalez, Sr.
Leonard Patrick Gonzalez, Sr. was a man living with a terminal illness. In March 2015, the Florida Department of Corrections said he had less than a year to live and used a wheelchair for daily activities. He had been denied early release for health reasons and was to remain in state custody. On June 13, 2015, he died while held at the Reception and Medical Center Main Unit, a Florida state prison, and the department recorded the manner of death as natural.
