Leomeir V. Kennedy, 31, a transgender man from Vancouver, Washington, died at the Johnson County Jail in Franklin, Indiana, on August 11, 2023. He was unconscious in his cell that Friday morning. Johnson County Coroner Mike Pruitt said the cause was cardiac arrest and that a preliminary investigation found no indication of foul play. The autopsy and toxicology results were still pending at the time of reporting.
