Lee Harvey Oswald
Lee Harvey Oswald was being moved from the basement of the Dallas city jail to a waiting car on November 24, 1963, when Jack Ruby stepped out of a crowd of reporters and police and shot him at close range. He was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he died in surgery from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The shooting was broadcast live on television.
