Lee Chouteau
Lee Chouteau, 31, died on June 24, 2021, in the holding area of the Oklahoma County Detention Center in Oklahoma City, about 15 hours after he was booked. According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, a review of video found that he was never examined after a use-of-force incident at his arrival and did not receive the required medical screening. The review also found no medical staff visits during his time in the facility. The findings led the state to bar the jail from holding juveniles.
