Lee Andrew Taylor

Lee Taylor, 32, was executed by the State of Texas by lethal injection at the Huntsville Unit in Huntsville on June 16, 2011, about two hours after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a last-day appeal by a 5-4 vote. In his final statement he told his mother and wife that he loved them, and his mother sobbed, "This is not right." His lawyers argued that he had received poor legal help at trial and in earlier appeals. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice recorded the execution.
