Leanna Washington
Leanna Washington, 36, of LaGrange, Georgia, died on January 4, 2025, while held at the Chambers County Detention Facility in Alabama. According to the Chambers County Sheriff's Office, she was found unresponsive in her cell about a week after being booked into the jail, and she was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said no other people in custody or deputies were involved. The cause and manner of her death are still pending, and the state is investigating.
