Lea Daye
Lea Daye, a homeless woman, was held at the Cuyahoga County Jail in Ohio for about three months before she died there on August 8, 2020. She died of an apparent fentanyl overdose. Before her death she wrote a letter meant for her family that criticized conditions at the jail. Family members said questions about her death remain unanswered.
