Lawrence Reynolds Jr.
Lawrence Reynolds Jr. was 43. Prison records say he graduated from high school and served six years in the Army. On March 16, 2010, he was executed by lethal injection at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, after guards found him unconscious in his cell nine days earlier following a pill overdose he had taken in a suicide attempt, which postponed the execution by a week. He had challenged Ohio's one-drug lethal injection method, arguing that problems accessing his veins had not been corrected, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to intervene the day before.
Cause of death, as reported: Executed by the state. Reynolds challenged Ohio's one-drug lethal injection method, arguing that problems accessing veins had not been corrected.
