Laurel Hunter
Laurel Hunter, 48, of Palmer, died on July 6, 2016, after being found unresponsive in her cell during a security check. Alaska's News Source reported that authorities said no foul play was suspected and that the medical examiner would perform an autopsy. The Anchorage Daily News reported that the Department of Corrections said she had reported an acute medical condition within 24 hours of booking and received treatment, but declined to name the condition citing confidentiality.
