Larry Hood

Larry Hood, 53, died in October 2020 while held at the Rowan County Detention Center in Rowan County, North Carolina. A report by Disability Rights North Carolina lists the manner of death as suicide. The report says state regulators, in the investigation that followed, again found that the facility had failed to properly conduct supervision safety rounds.

Cause of death, as reported: Died by suicide (neglect alleged). Disability Rights NC's report says state regulators found the Rowan County Detention Center failed to properly conduct supervision safety rounds in the investigation following Larry Hood's death.
