Larry Darrell Douglas
Larry Darrell Douglas Jr., 26, died in his single-occupancy cell at the Potter County Detention Center in Texas. The Potter County Sheriff's Office said officers found him unresponsive at about 10:23 p.m. on March 9, 2022, and that he was pronounced dead at 10:46 p.m. after lifesaving efforts failed. A Texas Attorney General custodial death report lists the date of death as March 10, 2022, a discrepancy the sources do not resolve. The Texas Rangers are investigating, and an autopsy was scheduled for the following Friday morning, so the cause and manner of death remain pending.
