Larry Cragle
Larry Cragle, 41, died on May 5, 2019, while held at SCI Forest in Marienville, Pennsylvania. Superintendent Derek Oberlander said he was found unresponsive in his cell, and that corrections officers gave first aid until paramedics arrived. The Pennsylvania State Police and the Forest County coroner investigated, and at the time the official cause and manner of death had not been determined. A York Daily Record report later said he hanged himself and that his death was ruled a suicide, and a UCLA Law Behind Bars record also lists it as a suicide.
Cause of death, as reported: Died by suicide. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania State Police investigation describe a suicide by hanging, and the coroner's official cause was still pending in the accounts.
