Lapour

Lapour was held in the jail at Schuyler, Colfax County, Nebraska. The Livingston Enterprise reports that a mob took him from the jail and hanged him on January 12, 1886, after Sheriff John Degman was killed in the county. The Frontier gives January 14 and says the mob hanged him in the courthouse yard, while a later Emmons County Record item gives February 13 and says he was taken from the jail shortly before midnight. The accounts disagree on the date of his death.
