Lanson Paul Stalf, 46, died on September 12, 2022, at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina, a state prison where he was held. The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said he was found unresponsive in his cell on the afternoon of a Monday and that prison staff gave lifesaving measures before EMS pronounced him dead shortly after.
