Lamorris W. Rivers

Lamorris W. Rivers, 33, died on June 9, 2021, at Central Prison in Raleigh, North Carolina, less than a week after he was admitted there. The Department of Public Safety said the death appears to be a suicide and is under investigation along with an outside review. Staff found him in his cell that afternoon and began lifesaving measures until EMS arrived, and he was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m.
