Lamont Walls
Lamont Walls, 38, died on March 25, 2016, after being found by staff at the Polk County Jail in Iowa on a Friday evening. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The Polk County Medical Examiner's Office has not released a cause or manner of death; toxicology results are pending, and an autopsy found no trauma beyond superficial abrasions that were photographed before he was accepted into custody. His mother's family and friends, including Shaneetha Smith, the mother of one of his children, say they want more answers, and Smith submitted a list of demands to the jail. The Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating.
