Lamarcus Demond Philpot was 41 years old. On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, he was found unresponsive on his bunk at Elmore Correctional Facility and was pronounced dead in the prison health unit. The Alabama Department of Corrections said it was investigating, and the results of his autopsy were still pending.
