Lamar Scott
Lamar Scott, 35, died on December 16, 2024, at California State Prison, Sacramento in Folsom, where he was held. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said another person held at the prison attacked him, and a Mercury News report said he was fatally stabbed multiple times in a dayroom while officers witnessed the attack. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 6:36 p.m., and the department is investigating the death as a homicide, with the Sacramento County Coroner yet to determine the cause of death.
