Lamar Anderson
Lamar Anderson died on March 1, 2023, while held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail in Mason City, Iowa. According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office, a jail staff member found him at about 1:30 a.m., and he was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is conducting an independent investigation, and the state medical examiner has performed an autopsy. The cause and manner of his death are still pending.
