Kyle Tiffee
Kyle Tiffee, 23, was held at the privately run Cimarron Correctional Facility in Cushing, Oklahoma, when he died on September 12, 2015. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections identified him as one of four men killed in a violent fight or riot that injured three others, and the facility was placed on lockdown. Prosecutors said the fight was between rival prison gangs and that the four men were stabbed to death, though identifying who committed each killing has been difficult. A civil suit filed by a relative of one of the dead men says a single officer radioed that a fight seemed about to start and that no other guards responded until after it ended. The state has not released its investigative report, and the families' lawsuits against CoreCivic were still pending in 2018.
