Kyle Brown
Kyle Blackburn Brown, 38, of Morganton, was found unresponsive in his cell at Granville Correctional Institution in Butner on August 17, 2024. Brad Deen, public information officer for the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, said the Department lists the cause of death as undetermined. Law enforcement and the NC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating, which the Department described as standard for in-custody deaths.
