Died in jail or a lockup
Kyle Barton
Kyle Barton, 40, was remembered by his family as a son, brother and friend, and his stepmother said he was a good kid and that jail staff always spoke well of him. He had been held at the Whitley County Detention Center in Corbin, Kentucky, for about two weeks when he died. His family was called to a hospital, where they were told he had been injured at the jail. The family is asking how he died, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
