Kurtis Peoples
Kurtis Peoples, 46, died on December 11, 2018, while held at the Lake County Jail in Crown Point, Indiana. Corrections staff found him alone in a shower stall, and Crown Point EMS was called but declared him dead. The Porter County coroner, brought in to avoid a conflict of interest, ruled the death natural, with an acute peritonitis caused by a ruptured duodenal ulcer. The sheriff said no foul play was suspected.
