Kurt Charles Malutin
Kurt Malutin, 37, died on September 14, 2025, at the Anchorage Correctional Complex in Anchorage, where he was held before trial. Alaska State Troopers and the Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his cell in a general housing unit on a Sunday evening and was declared dead about five minutes later. Troopers said no foul play is suspected. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation is examining what happened, and the state medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The cause and manner of his death remain pending.
