Kristopher Miller, a 33-year-old Black man, died on April 15, 2021, while held at 201 Poplar in Shelby County, Tennessee. He was found hanging from his cell door by a sheet and taken to Regional One, where he died. The Commercial Appeal, in an August 2023 article, lists his death as a suicide.
