Korey Scott Smith
Korey Scott Smith, 36, died on February 25, 2023, while held at the Lee County Detention Center in Alabama, where he was found unresponsive in his cell. The Lee County Detention Center opened a death investigation, with a post-mortem examination sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery. Findings are to go to the Lee County District Attorney for a grand jury, and no cause or manner of death had been announced when the report was published.
