Kevin Wiley
Kevin Wiley, 43, died in June 2023 while held at the Issaquah City Jail in Washington. According to the King County Medical Examiner's Office, he died of acute fentanyl intoxication. A legal claim from his estate says other people in his group cell pressed the emergency intercom and a request for medical help was slipped under the door, but no one intervened, and that he was found lying still on his mattress more than half an hour before paramedics arrived. The city paid $3 million to settle that claim.
