Kevin Tyler Whitted
Kevin Tyler Whitted, 33, died on November 20, 2023, while held in the Jay County jail in Indiana. The Indiana State Police and the Jay County Sheriff's Office said he was in a padded cell under video monitoring when staff saw him fall forward at about 7:22 a.m. He was taken to the IU hospital in Portland, where he was pronounced dead. Police said a suspected medical condition linked to drug withdrawal may be involved, but this has not been confirmed, and an autopsy was scheduled.
