Kevin T. Culp
Kevin T. Culp, 29, was held at the Benton County Jail in Washington when jailers placed him in a restraint chair during a seizure, according to the coroner, who ruled his death an accident caused by asphyxiation. Benton County Coroner John Hansens also said discontinued antiseizure medications were an aggravating circumstance. The sheriff acknowledged that officers may have been wrong to restrain him during the seizure. The family's attorney, Breean Beggs, says the medication could have prevented his death, and the family retained him after the death.
