Kevin Defries

Kevin Defries, 54, died by suicide in his cell in the Maximum Security Unit at the Tucker prison in Arkansas on December 31, 2015. Prison chaplains searched for his relatives after his death, and staff were said to have contacted sheriff's departments in other states as part of that search. His family did not claim his body, and it was cremated. People in Lake City, his hometown, said they knew little about him, though a few recalled seeing him or his family around town.
