Kevin Curtis died while held at the Menard prison in Illinois, one of three men who died there within three days. His mother, Yolanda Jackson, told WBEZ that she received very little information about his death and had to wait months for basic details. She said staff had raised concerns about his health before he died. She also said documents related to his death were falsified.
