Kevin A. Torres
Kevin A. Torres, whose age was reported as 25 or 26, died on November 29, 2025, while held at Salinas Valley State Prison in Soledad, California. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said staff found him unresponsive in his cell during a security check, and that he was taken by ambulance to an outside medical facility, where he was pronounced dead. The department is investigating the death as a homicide, and one report said his cellmate was placed in restricted housing pending that investigation. The Monterey County Coroner will determine the official cause of death.
