Kenneth Jay Rhodes
Kenneth Jay Rhodes, 71, died on December 22, 2015, after another person held at the Fourth Avenue Jail in Maricopa County attacked him in a housing unit. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman, Lt. Brandon Jones. The sheriff's office said deputies had identified a suspect, whose name it had not released while the investigation continued. The Arizona Republic reported the death as a homicide caused by an assault by another person held in the Maricopa County Jail System.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says another inmate attacked Kenneth at the Fourth Avenue Jail, and the Arizona Republic reported the assault as a homicide.
