Kenneth Harris, 41, died on March 21, 2021, at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility, a privately operated prison in Tutwiler, Mississippi, where South Carolina had sent him in 2018. South Carolina Department of Corrections spokeswoman Chrysti Shain said he had seizures in his cell early that morning. She said staff gave him CPR before he was taken to a hospital, where he died. Officials said an autopsy was conducted and that no foul play was suspected.
