Kendrick Malik Brown
Kendrick Malik Brown, 25, was a loved son, brother and father to his son Brayden, according to his family, who describe him as cheerful and kind, someone who sang often, loved riding his motorcycle and wrestled for Sonoraville High School. He was held at Macon State Prison, where he was found unresponsive in his dormitory on October 16, 2022, and was pronounced dead shortly after. The Georgia Department of Corrections has said the death was a homicide in which his cellmate killed him, and it is investigating. His mother, Chastity Buck, says he struggled with mental health issues his whole life and was held in restrictive tier conditions, and she questions why he was housed with his cellmate and why no one found him until the next morning.
