Kendall Francois
Kendall Francois, 43, died on September 11, 2014, in the medical unit of Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, New York, where he was held. The state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said he died of apparent natural causes and gave no further detail. Prison officials gave the same cause, and the Erie County medical examiner's office said it had issued an official finding but declined to disclose it publicly. A court had disclosed in 2000 that he had AIDS, and a retired police detective said he had mixed feelings about the death.
