Keith Schmedtje
Keith Schmedtje, 50, died on May 14, 2024, at a hospital in Colorado after being taken from the Weld County Jail, where he was pronounced dead at 8:44 p.m., the Weld County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said he had a medical event while held at the jail and that on-site medical staff treated him before he was taken to the hospital. A 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team, led by a Greeley Police Department investigator, is investigating his death.
