Died in jail or a lockup
Keith Jrome Taylor
Keith Jrome Taylor, 56, of Duluth, died on June 24, 2025, while held at the St. Louis County Jail's Haines Road facility. Detention deputies found him unconscious and unresponsive in his cell during routine checks, and he was pronounced dead. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said a preliminary investigation found no obvious signs of trauma, and the cause of death is pending. The sheriff's office asked the BCA to investigate because it operates the jail.
