Keila Pena
Keila Pena, 42, of Metairie, died in the custody of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on October 18, 2025. Deputies found her slouched over and unresponsive in her housing area around 1:15 a.m., and she was pronounced dead at about 1:37 a.m. The Jefferson Parish coroner's office has not determined a cause of death, and the sheriff's office is investigating.
