Karlos Butler
Karlos Butler, 49, collapsed at the Harris County Joint Processing Center in Houston on August 5, 2026, while in the custody of the facility. The Harris County Sheriff's Office said he received medical attention and was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials said he collapsed for unknown reasons and that an autopsy will determine the cause of death. The Houston Police Department and the sheriff's internal affairs division are reviewing his death.
